Digital Eyestrain? Try out these 4 simple tips and exercises

Are you one of those people who work hours on a computer? We are a generation of smartphones. Using different apps for relaxation, socialization. Usage of screens has become part of our life.

Dry eyes, swelling, irritation, headache are some of the symptoms we all experience as a result of prolonged use of computers.

     

1. Eye Movement Exercises:

Take a 10 minutes break from the screen. Close your eyes.
Slowly move eyes upward and then downward for three-four times.
Now, move the eyes to the left and right repeatedly for three-four times.
Try doing this exercise at your desk every 2 hours.

      2. Practice 20-20-20 rule

Look at an object from 20 feet away for 20 seconds for every 20 minutes while working on computer or scrolling phone screens.

        3. Change the Brightness:

Maintain the brightness of the screen. Brightness should be between 200-500Lux. Thus the range is optimal enough to reduce eye strain while working and reading.

        4. Cucumber Mask

Apply cucumber on eyes for 10 Minutes. This mask keeps your eyes hydrated and glows.
